Directions for apply the Aqua Optics Lens
Recommended items for installation and clean up include: Glass cleaner, Lint free cloth, tooth brush, warm and hot water.
Clean each lens and inner mask surface where the lenses will be glued. This step is most important on both “new” and “old” mask!
Determine where you want to have your mask magnifiers glued into place. For best results cut out the guides below and tape to the outside of your mask. Place drops of glue onto the lens (flat side) or inside of the mask at each X; (see guide below) more glue is better than less.
9 drops are recommended for each lens installation. Excess glue is easy to clean up.
Place flat side (not curved) of magnifier onto mask surface, carefully position the magnifier lens into place, make your final adjustments. Press firmly for about 5 seconds lightly squeezing out air from under lens.
Excess glue is easy to clean up with warm water & toothbrush after it has dried.
Place mask (front of mask side down) on level area to allow glue to dry. Glue sets in about 10 hours: Glue cures hard in 24-48 hours. Glue setting and curing times vary depending on temperature and humidity.
Excess glue can be easily removed if needed with warm water and light brushing with a tooth brush after curing time.
Clean mask with cold soapy water after 10 hour setting time, use care around the lens; rinse out, defog it and enjoy your dive.
If youʼre not happy with the installation; Lens or lenses can be removed with a hot water soaking; Re-clean up all surfaces where gluing will take place and start over.
Lenses can be re-used over and over again.
